a year agoFried chicken is OK but definitely isn't the best. Do not order any fish because the portions are VERY small for the price. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU EXTRA FOR ANY CONDIMENTS on any size meal. Chicken and fish should AUTOMATICALLY come with hot and tartar sauce and ketchup for fries but they will charge you over 1.00 dollar for a packet of each. Hook Fish & Chicken on Fifth Avenue is MUCH better and cheaper. Their large catfish dinner gives you (3) HUGE pieces of fish and their chicken is top tier and fresh. Avoid this overpriced spot who charges extra for condiments.👎🏽

2 years agoThis is my favorite comfort food place in Pittsburgh. They have amazing seasoning, I recommend asking for some on the fries as well. The wings and catfish are my favorites from here, but I also like their other dishes like the meatball panini. Also the coleslaw is some of the best I’ve had. I don’t live in Pittsburgh anymore but every time I go back I order food from here. They also have homemade desserts which are great, the chocolate brownie is my favorite but my girlfriend likes the Oreo cheesecake. The owners are also extremely nice and will accommodate your order as best they can. If you like comfort food and you are in Pittsburgh you must try K&T’s!

2 years agoThis place serves up some pretty tasty food! Although they are known for their fish and chicken, they also have some pretty solid sandwiches for a good price. I decided to try out their gyro. The gyro itself was surprising good! When I first saw the meat, I thought it looked a bit strange. Flavor wise though, it had a decent texture, nice but of spice, and was all around pretty good. Was it super authentic? No, but it was still decent. They also included the usual vegetables like onion, tomatoes, lettuce but all of them were on one side of the gyro. The pita had a nice crispy bottom and was soft everywhere else. I'm pretty sure it is not homemade but it does the job solidly. I am also very surprised with their fries. They were really good! They gave a great portion of fries, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Nice seasoning as well. All in all, a very solid spot for a meal. I enjoyed the gyro, which was very reasonably priced and came in a solid portion. Fries were good too. If the chicken and fish is like the gyro, then this place is all around great!

2 years agoI’m really impressed on how good this food was ! Wings was fresh & seasoned to the GODSSSSS! the fries were even good . I’m so picky when it comes to these fish & chicken places but this is by far the best one. The food was bussin like my grandma was back there ! The Employee was friendly as well ! Thanks for the great food !

2 years agoThis was a delivery order! The Fish disgusting it was not only over cooked but I can’t tell you what kind of fish it was since they gave me no choice with the combo. Coleslaw bitter! Never again this food sucks would feed it to a stray cat or dog!!

3 years agoGreat to find a place that serves Cod Fish and Chips. The Cod 2 pieces, good size portion, and velvety were enough to fill me up. It also came with coleslaw and a generous amount of fries. The price was excellent too. This was my second visit and I highly recommend it.

4 years agoI ordered cod last night. I thought I was getting 2 pieces but I got 3. The food was ready very fast and was hot and fresh. The fries were amazing. The fish was awesome. The service was friendly and the place looked nice and clean. I'm going to try another kind next time I go back.
